Walt’s 1st motorcycle was a 1949 hard tail Royal Enfield which he did his 1st desert race on. In ‘55 he picked up sponsorship on a 500cc BSA Clubman with Modern Cycle Works and became #1 in Southern California’s District 37 for '56. He continued racing Jawa & CZ in desert/motocross and was the 3rd American to ever ride the 1960 ISDT in Bad Aussie, Austria and again in '65 on the Isle of Man.
