Raced motocross in the ’70s. Became a mechanic, engine builder, and tuner. Began off-road car racing in 1977. Built and tuned engines for Mickey Thompson, Danny Letner, Marty Letner, Harley Letner, David Kreisler, Martin Tajra, plus many other champions. Worked as Gene Woods’s mechanic and tuner until 1984. Started R/M Motorsports, continued building, tuning, and doing suspension for motocross, and ran Starwest MX Park for three years.
