A pioneer of American Motocross in the early 70’s. He went from novice to full factory sponsored professional MX racer in less than 9 months. He was one of the first Americans to race MX in Europe. Doug was quickly working up the ranks when he was involved in a tragic car accident on the way to a race. It would take 20 years for him to make it back to the track and win 5 Vintage National Championships!
