Rick JoJo Johansen was involved in the motocross racing scene in the early days. Just out of High School JoJo was hired by Team Husqvarna. Jojo was a mechanic for Billy Clements and Bob Grossi the year Bob Grossi won the Daytona Motocross race in 1972. In 1973 he moved on to Team Kawasaki and was wrenching for Jamming Jimmy Weinert and Billy Grossi. In 1974 JoJo and Billy Grossi went to Team Honda and won the 1974 AMA National MX at Hangtown.
