Billy started racing in 1967, some Flattrack but mostly Motocross. Competed around Northern California until 1975 when an injury ended his racing career. In 1972 he opened Woodland Sports Center when a young Danny Chandler started bringing his CZ's to Bill for help. This started a lifelong friendship and the start of being Magoo's mechanic. Danny was injured at the Paris SX in 1985, Bill remained in Danny's life until his death in 2010.
