George Garvis Sr
has been inducted into the
Hot Shoe Hall of Fame
September 5, 2022
Founder and President of Garvis Honda from 1964-2013. George was instrumental in the careers of several riders including Gary Nixon, Rich King, and Ronnie Jones. He built unique racing machines including Star Racer framed CR 250s, Wasco framed XR 500s and Kite framed, CX 500 dirt trackers. George purchased all remaining HRC dirt track parts to help keep Honda racers racing. Rich King states "George believed in me more than I believed in myself".
