Larry started riding in 1957, when he was 20 years old, first desert racing and then district 37 TTs . He earned the number two plate in district, turning pro in 1964. Moving through the novice ranks, becoming one of the top juniors in the country . Specializing mainly in TT racing becoming a top expert finishing second in the 1969 50 lap TT national at Ascot . He retired in1970 due to injuries; however, continued tuning for numerous other riders.
