Roondog Mike Rooney started riding motorcycles in 1958. Dirt Track 1964-1972. Started Speedway in 1969. Rode for Al Lauer, the promoter, Cal Expo. 1973 Northern California Speedway Champion. During that time “I won more then lost on the Gormley JAP”. In 1985 the manager of the American Speedway Team, asked if I would ride with the Team. I proudly wore the colors of my Country for the 85 England V USA Speedway Test Matches. Finest moment in my career.
