Lackey & others honored in 3rd annual Hall of Fame Presentation in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Jan. 25, 2023) - Motorcycle racing royalty - many of the world's greatest motorcycle racers and motorcycles - will be on hand this Saturday, Jan. 28, when the popular "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame Museum presents the third annual "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame and Motorcycle Industry Celebration at the Las Vegas' Notoriety Theatre in the legendary Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience (450 E. Fremont St., 3rd Floor) at 6 p.m. PST.

Highlighted by the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to motocross star Brad Lackey, Saturday's event will feature a variety of motorcycle icons talking about special events and unique experiences throughout their careers, as hosts Larry Huffman and Jerry Bernardo lead the racers down memory lane.

Riders will be represented from the Flat Track, Speedway, Motocross, Desert and Freestyle disciplines with a special question and answer session as well as plenty of "bench racing" among many of the greatest two-wheel competitors from around the world.

In addition to the riders' session, several special motorcycles will be on display including Mike Kidd's Honda flat tracker from the 1980s, Ricky Brabec's Dakar winning Honda from Johnny Campbell Racing and Greg Hancock's special Speedway title-winning machine. The Kidd Honda is one of the first RS750 flat track models later made famous by Bubba Shobert and Ricky Graham. The Brabec Honda is a CRF450 with design input from Campbell took the first American to the famed Dakar Rally, winning six stages of the 2020 event. Hancock, the four-time World Speedway Champion, rode a variety of Speedway motorcycles including the GM Engines/Stuha Frames bike.

"We are extremely excited for this Saturday's third 'Hot Shoe' Hall of Fame Museum and Motorcycle Industry Celebration here in Las Vegas," said Gene Woods, founder and curator of the "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame. "We'll have many of the world's greatest motorcycle racing competitors and icons celebrating the 2023 'Hot Shoe' Hall of Fame honorees and past award winners. Plus, several unique motorcycles also will be on display for the attendees. This is a fun event and a must for all motorcycle enthusiasts to attend each year. We hope everyone has another enjoyable night. And it's free."

The 2023 "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame celebration opens the popular "meet and greet" celebration and presentations at 6 p.m. The "Q n A" portion of the event will get underway at 7 p.m.

Woods, "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame president Keith Mashburn, the "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame Board of Directors and its staff have produced the "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame Museum Celebrations for the past two years and has been attended by a star-studded list of motorcycle legends.

An added attraction on Jan. 28 will be the popular feature film, "On Any Sunday 2," which will be shown to attendees at the Notoriety Theatre on Jan. 28 to highlight several of the "Hot Shoe" Hall of Fame inductees featured in the movie.

The "Hot Shoe" is the symbol that recognizes the cream of the crop of motorcycle racing stars who used a very specialized tool, the steel shoe, to assist them in navigating the dirt track corners.
