Mike Cram held the #1 Plate for CMC in 1971, the third racer to so after Gary Bailey (69),and Tom Rapp(70). He was soon picked up by Mitco Bultaco and raced a 360cc El Bandito in the 500 Pro class. He was also one of the early Carabela Factory riders. He eventually moved to Maico and traveled the USA racing in the TRANS-AMA and INTER-AMA Series.
