Known as the “Flying Hawaiian”, John was one of the early pioneers in Motocross and Supercross, and did some off-road racing with Suzuki in the early 70’s. Always a tough, gritty, hard-charging competitor on the track, he was always helpful to his racing companions and truly enjoyed his fans. While he raced all over the US and world, he always enjoyed racing in his home turf, Hawaii, where he started!
