Dave Ekins, the brother of Bud Ekins, was established rider and Journalist in the M/C world. He specialized in lightweight bikes and consulted with many manufactures on the development of small displacement bikes. He was a guest of Mr. HONDA and worked on design in Japan for Mr. Honda. He teamed with his Brother Bud to set the inaugural record down the Baja in the early 60s. He also developed the Gold-line kidney belt.
